Free Shoots

Acen 2026

Acen is almost here, and I’ll be offering photoshoots during all three days of the convention (with limited availability on Sunday). I’ll only be taking a select number of shoots and will be prioritizing cosplays and concepts I’m especially excited to photograph. If you’re interested, please review the details below and fill out the form.

Overview

  • You must be 18 or older
  • I am selective with who I shoot with
    • Selections are based on cosplay quality and my interest in the character
    • Bonus points if you’re a cool person.
  • Shoot times are scheduled as rough time slots.
  • Shoots are organic, relaxed, and vibe-focused.
  • I am a slow editor.
    • My focus is quality over quantity, so final photo counts are limited.

I don’t use set time slots for free shoots. Instead, I like to pick a rough time and coordinate at the con. I’ve found it feels more natural and gives the shoot room to breathe. Some shoots are wrapped in 15 minutes, while others might naturally go closer to an hour. This format also allows things to work around everyone’s crazy and changing con schedules.

My goal is to keep shoots fun, relaxed, and low-pressure. For me, they’re just as much about hanging out and making friends as they are about getting awesome photos.

For edits, know that I’m slow and meticulous. I try to keep a high standard with my work (hopefully you’re here because you agree), and each image usually takes me around two hours to finish. I also work full time and do this entirely as a passion project, so photos probably won’t be delivered quickly. If waiting a while would bother you, I might not be the best photographer for you. I don’t say that to turn anyone away, but I’d rather be upfront about what to expect.

    • Photos may not be used or submitted to AI image tools.
    • Vontography maintains copyright to all photos.
    • Photo subjects must be 18 years old or higher.
    • No rights will be given to modify images in any substantive ways.
    • RAW photos will not be distributed.
    • Cropping is allowed for use on Instagram.
    • Images returned may not be used for any commercial use. You may not sell the rights to use the images to any third party. If you wish to use these photos for any commercial endeavor, please message me and we can discuss further.
    • Photos may not be submitted to any competitions without Vontography’s consent.
